9th Grade Cabin at
PATHFINDER CAMP
Dear parents and applicants,
In the 9th grade cabin at Pathfinder, participants are given daily leadership training and doctrine classes by the camp staff. They are charged with the responsibility of caring for Our Lord in the chapel and each 9th grader is paired with a younger cabin to assist counselors for brief stints throughout the week. In short, the Freshmen girls are entrusted with extra responsibilities and have extra privileges. Their privileges start with having staff members who are fully dedicated to their care and attention during the week of camp, including one-on-one mentoring. The 9th grade cabin still participates in many to most of the regular activities at camp but does not always follow the normal schedule of 5-8th graders. The freshmen are still considered campers; the term 'junior counselors' will not be used.

Attention 9th graders: While being in the 9th grade cabin does not guarantee your acceptance as a Pathfinder counselor, the experience and formation you receive will help prepare you for such an endeavor. And your behavior during this week of camp will indicate to us whether or not you will make a good counselor, once you're old enough to apply. To this end, we try to take as many rising 9th graders as possible given the size of the cabins.

PLEASE DO NOT PAY ANY DEPOSIT UNTIL YOU ARE ACCEPTED.
Application deadline of March 5th has passed; contact us if you'd like to be on the wait list for 2026. Acceptances will be announced March 14th. At that point, you will register your 9th grader as a camper via the camp website, complete health forms and pay, through their system for Pathfinder Camp.
